Why is Florida called the sunshine state? Other than being located at the eastern tip of continental North America, Florida is being called as such because it is the state in the continent which has the fewest rainshowers in a year. Summer here is virtually extended from spring to late fall. This is an advantage to tourism because the atmosphere here mimics the tropical paradises of the Carribean and Phuket in the Far East.
Other than that, there are many fascinating tourism spots here in Florida. The one that I admire the most is of course the Seven-Mile Bridge. It was first prominently featured in a helicopter chase scene in the James Cameron epic thriller True Lies. The bridge is really seven miles long and there is no traffic congestion, you’ll have a relaxing ride of your life all the way from end to end.
And then there are the Florida Keys. The biggest one of course is Key West. Key West has all the resort hotels in the Carribean setting that you don’t wanna go out of the country anymore to experience how it feels good in such exotic locales as Bermuda and the Bahamas.
The most unforgettable spot in Florida that I like are the bridges connecting the islands which are collectively known as the Seven Mile Bridge. You will never get bored and will always be awestruck everytime you traverse that bridge which is as it sounds is seven miles long.
And then of course there is the Disney World in Miami, the biggest theme park in the world with all the Disney franchises each boasting their own rides. And of course, it is not just the rides which will make your kids be starstruck at Disney World, there are also various gimmicks there for children such as cotton candy, balloons and kiddie food. Since it is the world’s premiere theme park, it is advisable for your trip to be associated with your travel agent so they can book in advance.
