Jacinto in Mato Grosso

The name Jacinto was extracted from the work of writer Humberto de Campos, found in the Legend of India Jacinto, Lady of the Moon, in the text Victoria Regia. The name comes from Tupi-Guarani.


Today, Jacinto is a progressive city with a population of 23,000 inhabitants which is located to the Southeast of Cuiabá (142 km) on a plateau with an advanced architecture, where a gentle breeze, almost constant that runs through its streets with trees in a tropical climate semi-humid with temperatures averaging 26 degrees C, with its well-defined rainy season lets you enjoy a calm and pleasant. It has a growing infrastructure services to hotels, restaurants, spa, policing, education institutions and everything else a city that has potential for tourism needs. It is a region where mineral hot springs and near major business hubs of Mato Grosso with a road system that provides quick access to bus stations and airports.

In July and August takes place in the famous Jacinto Season Extreme Sports, bringing together athletes from various parts of Brazil to participate in all kinds of sports.


Rafting in Jaciara Mato GrossoAlong the Rio Tenente Amaral and St. Lawrence River, they form one of the most beautiful set of waterfalls in the Midwest and along the Rio Tenente Amaral. Carried out in inflatable boats rides with lots of adrenaline, covering 2.5 km of rapids level I to level IV, where we can find Rebojão rapids of the Falls and Bamboo Tamburelo which is the largest and most exciting waterfall. It's where we can have a chance to know a beautiful Smokey Falls drop 30 feet height.


Ruprestes inscriptions found in Cave of the Lost in the Valley of the Lost, talk about the culture of an extinct civilization. The inscriptions, according to scholars, dating back over five thousand years.


French archaeologists Denis Vial and Agueda Vilhena Viala, in 1984, the archaeological sites located in shelters on rocks that was called Cave of the Lost, where walls display paintings dated by carbon-14 between 3630 and 4610 years, featuring as Zone Prehistoric .


This is part of Jacinto history that should be preserved forever. For this, the support and awareness of who the tourist and the competent authorities becomes very important for continuity.
