Connecticut
Connecticut is rather close to my heart because it is the birthplace of my screen idol, Katherine Heigl who is a Mormon raised in New Haven. New Haven and the rest of Connecticut and for that matter New England is where English-style aristocracy is still practiced. But beyond the seemingly strict demeanours of the people, Connecticut folks are actually friendly and hospitable.

What drives tourists to Connecticut is the unique New England cuisine which is distinctive from English cuisine across the Atlantic but which is also unique from the rest of the United States. Connecticut cuisine usually employs seafood such as fresh American lobster catch from the coastlines. If you are a visitor to the place, try going out to the fishing docks by yourself at 4 a.m. and you can indeed buy fresh catch. You may want to cook the lobster alone or you may want to be assisted by your tour guide. The Connecticut people love to mix lobster to their main dishes and viands.
